Fatboy Slim is the stage name of Norman Cook (born 1963), a British DJ and electronic music producer. Originally a bassist for The Housemartins, he pioneered the big beat genre in the 1990s. His breakthrough came with "Better Living Through Chemistry" (1996), followed by massive hits like "The Rockafeller Skank," "Praise You," and "Right Here, Right Now."
Known for sample-heavy productions and energetic live performances, he helped bring electronic dance music to mainstream audiences. Notable albums include "You've Come a Long Way, Baby" (1998) and "Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars" (2000).
Still active in the electronic music scene, he's recognized for his influential role in shaping modern dance music and music video aesthetics, particularly through collaborations with director Spike Jonze.
